Such a beautifully well written explanation of how I’ve been feeling since Friday. This was also shared via Huffington Post’s Parent page today as well. I could not help but to share this on my blog also.
For Charlotte
I have been wanting to make this album for my sister for a while. I LOVE pink and brown together and if there is one thing I LOVE to do is use the supplies I have on hand. I really had fun putting this album together. My goal was to have it done by her shower – with my crazy schedule, hey…at least I was able to complete it before her arrival into this world. 😉
Feel free to scrap-lift and share…
Back to School
It’s that time again, school for Sofia and Ella is about to start in 5 days. Our summers go by faster and faster every year. We have a 4th grader and a 1st grader – it’s so hard to believe!
This year is a little special for me. Let me try to sum up the back story…I had the opportunity when I was younger to coach a 16 and under fast-pitch softball team. On my team was the daughter of a great family, I had the pleasure to start my professional career with her dad. Fast forward two years ago and to my wonderful surprise the young girl whom I coached is teaching at our daughter’s school! This year, I am so, so, SO excited she will be teaching Sofia’s 4th grade year. I have no doubt tears will be flowing come Monday morning.
With the help of Pinterest, she asked if this wall art could be made – one look at it, piece of cake! Here is our version – Fonts are a little different and I decided to add bling to the canvas, because really, who doesn’t LOVE bling! Not only do I love bling, but after completing this project I LOVE vinyl on canvas…it truly looks amazing… to help seal the project, add a couple of layers of Modge Podge and you are set. Feel free to add any comments or message me with questions.

A first for me!!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
For everyone who voted and supported this contest on my behalf, THANK YOU!! I really could not have done it without you.
I came in 2nd place in the Glue Dots Pinterest Contest and will be receiving a prize pack worth at least $75. I am so excited I can’t stand it. One of my goals for this year has been to be more active with my craft and passion. I am still getting this blog thing down and will try to be more active as it is obvious I am slacking a bit in this department. There is so much I want to do and share I need to find time to get it all done…like I have all this free time, right?
This is my first craft contest I have entered and definitely won’t be my last. Keep an eye out here on my blog for the Thank You’s I will be sending to everyone who showed me love and support. It is so much appreciated.
Two pages down!
Since’ve been trying to recover from my minor stomach surgery, I thought this would be a good time to catch up on some layouts I’ve been wanting to complete. I’ve done what I can given my limited mobility and am happy I can mark these two pages off my list!
This first page is one of my favs! I found the SVG file on Creating Keepsakes website, right around the time I got my Cameo!! My friend showed me the picture and I knew I had to download it!!

This next layout, as soon as I saw this picture of my Ella from Easter Sunday, without a doubt I knew it belonged on a page all by itself. Her gentle smile and calmness is amazing! She really has a gentle heart…I was very happy to have used paper from my stash.
