Just in Time for Easter

March 25, 2016

Hi Friends!!

I’ve been dying to create something fun, cute, and springy…is that even a word? I took my inspiration from a project I saw pop up on my news feed from Echo Park!

If you are wondering where I got the awesome frame, say no more! My Scrap Chick has a special right now and I loaded up on a bunch of fun files! These frames are the best! I can’t wait to make more!

One of my favorite features using my Silhouette is the Print and Cut feature. I added some color to the eggs and my little bunny. Instead of cutting out the layers, I print and cut around the shape! I almost feel like it is a cheat way around designing!

It’s a Labor of Crafting

September 8, 2015

I hope everyone enjoyed the long three-day Labor Day weekend, I know I did. I spent my weekend with my family, birthdays, BBQ’s, movies, (fighting a horrible tooth ache) and my favorite hobby – crafting! I love everything my Silhouette Cameo can do. This past week I have been able to customize my very own Starbucks mug! I LOVE how it came out, it was such a hit I have friends and family requesting one of their very own! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to just do this for a living!? One can dream, can’t she? šŸ™‚

Here is the mug I made…

One thing to note, I am using outdoor permanent vinyl. This is way more durable than the vinyl you can get at your local craft store. This is the same vinyl you see on cars with team logos, etc. It is for the most part permanent, the coffee mugs are hand wash only. Every dishwasher is different and in my opinion not worth the chance of the vinyl lifting, not from the water but from the heat of the drying cycle.

We celebrated my sister’s birthday this weekend too. There are so many things you can do with vinyl. One of the latest ideas I’ve seen floating around my crafty sites and blogs is monograms. I LOVE these so much I made two, one for my other sister! They are so personal and makeĀ gifts! The Silhouette Online Store is full of monograms to choose from! I got the stands at Michaels, but the tilesĀ can easily be drilled with holes and hung up instead.

That’s all for now. Until next time, do something creative.
